Guangzhou South Railway Station
Opened in Jan 2010, with over 370,000 square metres, Guangzhou South Railway Station (Chinese name 广州南站, Guangzhou Nan) is one of the four largest railway passenger transportation hubs in China. The Station is located in Shibi, Panyu District, 17km South of Guangzhou city center. It is an interchange station and a terminus between Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong XRL, Guangzhou-Maoming Railway, Guangzhou–Zhuhai intercity railway and Beijing-Guangzhou HSR.
28 tracks serve 15 platforms, including 13 island platforms and two side platform, Guangzhou South Railway Station is mainly serving high speed trains, operating 421 highs speed trains and on average has 430,000 entrances and exits per day.
The main structure consists of 4 layers. Level 3 is departure hall, level 2 is platforms, level 1 is arrival hall, and B1 level is underground basement level contains the Guangzhou Metro and Foshan Metro station hall.
