Opened on Jan 10 2014, Qingdao North Railway Station (Chinese name 青岛北站, Qingdao Bei Zhan) is located  in Licang District, 14km north of Qingdao urban center. It covers 68,000 square metre, and has 8 platforms and 18 railway tracks. Qingdao North Railway Station is one of the terminal stations of high-speed trains (denoted with letter G and D) bounding from Qingdao city to major cities in China that mainly serving 153 high-speed trains per day, including Beijing - Qingdao High-Speed Railway.

Metro line 3 is mostly recommended public transportation because it is cheapest and most convenient.

Taxi

Taxi is one convenient and fast, but also the most expensive way to get to or leave Qingdao North Railway Station.

Departures

Step 1:Get to Qingdao North Railway Station by Metro, Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.

Step 2: At entrance, go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.

Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.

Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.

Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect train tickets?

Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most train routes from or to Qingdao North Railway Station.

It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the printed tickets at ticket office.
