Departure Procedures at Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station

The departure concourse is on B3 level of Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station. Both Hong Kong port and Mainland China port areas are set up at B3 departure level which allows one-stop clearance procedures for passengers to save their time that usually less 30 minutes, including health quarantine, immigration inspection and customs. The foreign passengers must have a valid Chinese Visa.

When to arrive at Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station?

It is highly recommended that you arrive at the station at least 1 hour before the departure.

The travel document which you use to buy train ticket, including passport, identity card, or Home Return Permit.

Departure Proccess Guide

Step 1: Get to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station by metro, bus, or taxi

Step 2: Scaning your passport or ID to check in and get through security check on B1, then descend to the Departure Concourse on Level B3  by elevator or lift.

Step 3: In the Departure Concourse on Level B3, complete both the Hong Kong and Mainland clearance procedures in one go as quickly as around 30 minutes, including health quarantine, immigration inspection and customs. Foreign passengers must have a valid Chinese Visa.

Step 4: Find the boarding gate of your train, and wait for boarding in departure hall.

Step 5: The boarding gate will be opened 20 minutes prior to the departure time and will be closed 5 minutes prior to departure time. Follow the directions to the gates to Level B4 (Station platform), find the platform number of your train, and get aboard outbound train.
