Do you need to collect paper tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most train routes from or to Chengdu East Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the paper tickets at ticket office.

How to collect paper tickets?
We will send your one ticket confirmaion email after you book your train on Chinaairlinetravel, including the ticket collection number. Please show this number and your passport at ticket office in Chengdu East Railway Station to collect your paper tickets 60 minutes prior to the departure time.
How long I can pick up the paper tickets?
It depends on how many people are lining up, usually, less than 30 minutes.
If you meet emergency, you can try to ask the station staff to help you for collecting ticket.
