Zhenjiang Railway Station Guides
Opened in 1908 and expanded in 2010 and 2018, Zhenjiang Railway Station (Chinese name 镇江站, Zhenjiang Zhan) is located in the downtown of Zhenjiang. It covers 14,000 square metres, and has 5 platforms, 11 railway tracks. Zhenjiang Railway Station combines both ordinary passenger train station (denoted with letter Z/T/K) and high-speed train station(G/D/C series) that serves 48 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day, including Shanghai-Nanjing intercity Rails and Beijing-Shanghai Rails.
Station Layout
The station is divided into two section: the southern section + South Square, and northern section + North Square. The northern section serves mainly for ordinary trains. The southern section serves mainly for bullet trains. There are two entrance: south entrance and north entrance.

There is one bus station on south square and one bus station on north square, around 23 bus routes to or pass Zhenjiang Railway Station, including bus lines 82, 19, etc.
Departures
Step 1: Get to Zhenjiang Railway Station by Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.
Step 2: Go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.
Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect paper tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Zhenjiang Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the paper tickets at ticket office.
