Tianjin West Railway Station Guides
Established in 1888, rebuilt in 1993-1995, and restructured in 2009-2012, Tianjin West Railway Station (Chinese name 天津西站, Tianjin Xi Zhan) is located in Hongqiao District, 5km northwest of the downtown of Tianjin. It covers 180,100 square metres, and has 13 platforms, 26 railway tracks. The station was designed by the internationally renowned architectural firm Gerkan, Marg and Partners. Tianjin West Railway Station is one high-speed railway station of Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Rails, but it also is served by ordinary passenger train(denoted with letter Z/T/K). It is served by around 107 high-speed trains (G/D/C series) per day.

Departures
Step 1: Get to the entrance of Tianjin West Railway Station by metro, Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.
Step 2: Go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.
Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect paper tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Tianjin West Railway Station.
