Opened in 1958, rebuilt in 2006-2009, Yantai Railway Station (Chinese name 烟台站, Yantai Zhan) is located in Zhifu district, the downtown of Yantai. It covers 48,000 square metres, and has 5 platforms, 8 railway tracks. Yantai Railway Station combines both ordinary passenger train station (denoted with letter Z/T/K) and high-speed train station(G/D/C series) that serves 47 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day.

How many railway stations in Yantai?
There are two railway stations in Yantai: Yantai Railway Station, and Yantai South Railway Station.
Yantai Railway Station is located in Zhifu district, the downtown of Yantai.
Yantai South Railway Station is located in Laishan district, 16km south of the downtown of Yantai.

Departures
Step 1: Get to the entrance of Yantai Railway Station by Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.
Step 2: Go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.
Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect train tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Yantai Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the printed tickets at ticket office.

Arrivals
Step 1: After get off your train, follow direction signs to exits. And please show your passport and confirmation No.(or printed ticket) to station staff to check out.
