Opened in 1906 and expanded in 2007 and 2013, Suzhou Railway Station (Chinese name 苏州站，Suzhou Zhan) is located in Gusu District, 4km north of the downtown of Suzhou. It covers 157,000 square metres, and has 7 platforms, 16 railway tracks. Suzhou Railway Station combines both ordinary passenger train station (denoted with letter Z/T/K) and high-speed train station(G/D/C series) that serves 97 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day, including Shanghai-Nanjing intercity Rails.

Do you need to collect train tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Suzhou Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the printed tickets at ticket office.
