How to travel to Three Gorges Dam by train

Three Gorges Dam is located around 47km northwest of Yichang East Railway Station. Travelers can take taxi to visit Three Gorges Dam from Yichang East Railway Station.

Step 1: Book one high-speed train ticket from your city to Yichang East Railway Station, for example Beijing to Yichang, or Wuhan to Yichang online.

Step 2: Take your train to Yichang East railway station, and then take taxi to Three Gorges Dam,

Distance: 47km

Time: 1 hour

Taxi fare: around RMB102 one way

Taxi pick up areas: 1F, on station square

您好, 请带我去三峡大坝风景区, 谢谢! (Hi, please drive me to Three Gorges Dam scenic area, Thank you!)

Step 3: Buy the sightseeing bus ticket (RMB35) at entrance, then take the sightseeing bus to visit Three Gorges Dam. The visiting takes around 2-3 hours.

Step 4: Take taxi back to Yichang East Railway Station, and take the high-speed train to your next destination.
