How to travel to Leshan Giant Buddha by train

Leshan Giant Buddha is located in Leshan, Sichuan, China, around 10.5km southeast of Leshan Railway Station. Travelers can take taxi or bus to visit Leshan Giant Buddha from Leshan Railway Station.

Step 1: Book one high-speed train ticket from your city, for example Chengdu, to Leshan Railway Station online, Book train ticket from Chengdu to Leshan

Step 2: Take your train to Leshan, and then take one taxi to Leshan Giant Buddha from Leshan Railway Station at Exit

Distance: 10.5km

Time: 25 minutes

Taxi fare: around RMB23 one way

If you take the taxi, you can show the following Chinese sentence to Taxi driver:

司机, 请带我去乐山大佛景区大门, 谢谢! (Please drive me Leshan Giant Buddha, thank you!)

Step 3: Buy the entry ticket, and then enjoy your visiting of Leshan Giant Buddha.

Ticket fare: adult: RMB80, child: RMB40

Time: around 2-3 hours in usual, but it needs around 4-5 hours on some Chinese Holiday, for example, Spring Festival, May day(May 1 - May 5), National Day(Oct 1 - Oct 5)

Step 4: After finish visting, you can take one taxi at exits to Leshan Railway Station, and then take the high-speed train to your next destination, for example, Mount Emei or back to Chengdu.
