How to travel to Mount Huangshan by High-Speed Train

Mount Huangshan is located around 45km north of Huangshan North Railway Station. Travelers can take taxi or bus to the south gate of Mount Huangshan from Huangshan North Railway Station, then transfer the sightseeing bus to the cable car station, and take the cable car up to Mount Huangshan.

Step 1: Book one high-speed train ticket from your city, for example Shanghai or Hangzhou, to Huangshan North Railway Station online, Book train ticket from Shanghai to Huangshan North

Step 2: Take your train to Huangshan North, and then take taxi or bus to the south gate of Mount Huangshan from Huangshan North Railway Station.

By Bus

Distance: 46km

Time: 1 hour

Ticket fare: around RMB20 per peson one way

Bus station: in the Huangshan Tourism Passenger Transport Hub, 200 metres to the right side of exits

If you take the bus, you can show the following Chinese sentence to staff at bus station ticket office:

您好, 我要买去黄山南门的车票, 谢谢! (Hi, I want to buy the bus ticket to the south gate of Mount Huangshan, thank you!)

Step 3: Transfer the sightseeing bus from south gate to Ciguangge station(慈光阁）

Distance: 11km one way

Time: 20 minutes one way

Bus ticket fare: RMB19 per person one way

Step 4: At Ciguangge station(慈光阁), please buy ticket of entrance of Mount Huang and the cable car, and then take the cable car from Ciguangge station(慈光阁) to Yupingzhan(玉屏站)

Entry ticket fare: RMB190(Peak season, Mar 1 to Nov 30), RMB150(Low season, Dec 1 to Feb 28)

Cable car fare(one trip): RMB90(Peak season, Mar 1 to Nov 30), RMB70(Low season, Dec 1 to Feb 28)

Step 5: Enjoy your trip at Mount Huangshan from Yupingzhan(玉屏站) by walking. Usually, traveler will stay one night at Beihai(北海). There are many hotels from 2 stars to 4 stars.

Step 6: Take take the cable car from Baieling station(白鹅岭) to Yungusi station(云谷寺站). Then transfer the sightseeing bus from o Yungusi station(云谷寺站) to the south gate.

Cable car fare(one trip): RMB0(Peak season, Mar 1 to Nov 30), RMB65(Low season, Dec 1 to Feb 28)

Bus ticket fare: RMB19 per person one way

Step 7: Take taxi or bus back to Huangshan North Railway Station, and then take the high-speed train to your next destination
