How to travel to Mount Emei by High-Speed Train

Mount Emei is located in Emeishan, Sichuan, China, around 2.7km southwest of Emeishan Railway Station. Travelers can take taxi or bus to the entrance of Mount Emei from Emeishan Railway Station, then transfer the sightseeing bus to Leidongping, next take the cable car to Golden Summit (3079meters / 10,100 feet above the sea level)

Step 1: Book one high-speed train ticket from your city, for example Chengdu, to Emeishan Railway Station online, Book train ticket from Chengdu to Emeishan

Step 2: Take your train to Emeishan, and then take one taxi to the entrance of Mount Emei from Emeishan Railway Station at Exit, 2.7km, 6 minutes, taxi fare: RMB8

If you take the taxi, you can show the following Chinese sentence to Taxi driver:

司机, 请带我去峨眉山景区大门, 谢谢! (Please drive me the entrance of Mount Emei, thank you!)

Step 3: Buy the entry ticket and the sightseeing bus ticket.

Entry ticket fare: Peak season: RMB180, Low season: RMB110 (Dec 15 to Jan 15)

The sightseeing bus ticket fare: RMB90 (Round trip)

Step 4: Take the sightseeing bus from Baoguo Temple station to Leidongping station

Distance: 51km one way

Time: 2 hours one way

Operation time for up: 07:00-16:00(Nov 01-Apr 25), 07:00-17:00(Nov 01-Apr 25)

Operation time for down: 07:00-18:00

Step 5: Take the cable car to Golden Summit from Leidongping.

Distance: 6km one way

Time: 8 minutes one way

Cable car fare(Round trip): peak season: RMB120, low season: RMB50 (Dec 15 to Jan 15)

Tip: If you want to walk to Golden Summit from Leidongping, it will take around 2.5 hours, 6km

Step 6: Visit the Golden Summit of Mount Emei(around 1.5-2 hours), then take the cable car back to Leidongping, and transfer the sightseeing bus back to Baoguo Temple station.

Step 7: Take taxi to Emeishan Railway Station, and then take the high-speed train to your next destination, for example, Leshan or back to Chengdu.
