There are 8 tickets office (ticket counters) at Beijing South Railway Station, 4 ticket offices in departure hall on first floor, and 4 ticket offices in transfer hall on B1 floor.
Do you need to collect train tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most train routes from or to Beijing South Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the printed tickets at ticket office.

How to collect printed tickets?
If you still need the printed tickets, please get to the ticket office to collect your train's paper tickets by this number and your passport 60 minutes prior to the departure time.
How long I can pick up the train tickets?
It depends on how many people are lining up, usually, less than 30 minutes.
If you meet emergency, you can try to ask the station staff to help you for collecting ticket.
