Facilities on High-speed Trains in China

China domestic bullet trains and high-speed trains are modern and clean. All trains are equipped with the advanced facilities, such as air conditioner, comfortable seats, luggage racks, dining car, bathroom, toilet, power outlet, drinking water, tray table, etc. Even Wi-Fi is available in some Fuxing high-speed trains.

Usually, each train has 8 carriages. But for some popular train routes, from example, Shanghai to Beijing, Shanghai to Hangzhou, Guangzhou to Shenzhen, the train has 11 - 15 to carry more passengers

There are second class, first class and business class seats on high speed trains in China.

Luggage Racks

There is no checked luggage service for China bullet train. It means passengers need to take their luggage to board the train.

The luggage racks on both sides overhead the seats. If your luggage is too heavy or bigger, you can store your luggage on the racks that are placed at the connection part of two carriages.

Power Outlets

There is one or two sharing Power Sockets in each row of 1st and 2nd class. You can find them under the back of the front seat. But for business class seat, each seat has one power socket. no checked luggage service for China bullet train.

You also can find the sockets in the washrooms.

All electricity of socket is 220V, so Power Outlet only for use of Mobile Phones and Laptops.

Tray table

There is a tray table at the back of each seat, just like which in a plane

Dinning Car

There is one dinning car in each bullet train that usually is in the middle of the train, for example car 5 or car 6. Passenger can order foods and meals here.

Drinking Water

The Drinking Water dispensers are placed at the connection part of two carriages. Clean boiled water and paper cups are prepared there. There are two button to get water, red button and green button. First please press the red button to unlock, then press the green button to get boiling water by cup to drink.

Washrooms and Toilets

High-Speed Trains and Bullet Trains are equipped with both western & squat toilets.

There are signs lights above the entrance of carriage or the door of washroom that indicate whether the washroom is available or not. A green light means it is available while a red light means there is unavailable.
