Shanghai Hongqiao Airport(SHA) Terminal 1 Guides

Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1 is located 13km west of downtown of Shanghai, 2km east of Terminal 2, 3km east of Hongqiao Railway Station, and 56km northwest of Shanghai Pudong Airport.

Opened in 1921, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1 underwent its biggest renovation in 2014. Building A was fully renovated and reopened to public on March 26, 2017 which serves all international flights, and Building B reopened to public on Oct 15, 2018 which serves demoestic flights of Xiamen Airlines, Spring Airlines and Hebei Airlines.

All the check-in counters for domestic flights are at Island D, and all the international and Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan flights are operated at Islands A and B.

SHA T1 includes first self-service check-in in China that allows passengers to print tickets, check in luggage and board without queuing at staffed counters. It can shorten the check-in and boarding process.

Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1 has 2 floors. The departurs is on 2nd floor, the arrivals is on the 1st floor. The facilities and passenger service are included restaurants, banks, left luggage, 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit, medicine, lost & found and WIFI.

Free shuttle bus service is available from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. One-way trip takes approximately 15 minutes

Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1 can be reached by Metro line 10, Airport bus, Taxi.

A. Metro Line 10. Metro Line 10 connects Shanghai Hongqiao Airport with downtown of Shanghai, including Yuyuan, East Nanjing Road, Hongqiao Railway Station and Pudong International Airport(PVG). It is the cheapest and most convenient way

B. Airport City buses. Eight airport bus lines serve the airport, providing rapid links to Shanghai various destinations.

C. Airport Taxi. Taxi is one convenient and fast, but also the most expensive way to get to or leave Terminal 1 of Shanghai Hongqiao Airport

Services: Lost property registration, enquiry, and retrieval services in the terminal.

Procedure:

1. Passengers can pick their lost items up with valid certificates, providing information including the lost property's name, characteristics, lost date and spot.

2. Owners of lost property can also entrust others to claim lost articles. The person entrusted is required to show an owner entrustment form including names of the lost property and the person entrusted, together with copies of the owners'valid documents, and their own valid documents and copies. The valid documents referto ID card, passport, military officers'card and soldiers'card.

Left Luggage

Service: Passengers can leave their luggage there for 2 months at most.

Procedure: Passengers shall provide valid certificates to apply for luggage storage and claim service. Security staff will check items using X-ray devices. Except for oversized items, ordinary luggage is stored in computer-controlled cabinets. The whole procedure is monitored.
