Beijing Capital International Airport(PEK) Guides

Opened on March 02, 1958, Beijing Capital Internaional Airport (IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA) is located about 26km northeast of downtown of Beijing, the capital city of China. It is currently the biggest airport in China and the second busiest airport in the world. By the end of 2019, the annual capacity of Beijing Capital Airport reached approximately 1.01 billion passengers, and PEK airport handled 252 domestic and international flight routes per day.

There are three terminals, 314 finger docks, two 4E runways(3800 metres*60metres) and one 4F runway(3200 metres* 50 metres) at Beijing Capital Airport. Terminal 1 was opened on Jan 01 1980 and renovated in 2008, but T1 has been closed on May 03 2020. Terminal 2 was opened on Nov 01 1999. And the newest terminal 3 was opened in 2008. T3 is located 6.4km southeast of T2 and T1. The airport provides a free inter-terminal shuttle bus between Terminals 2 and Terminal 3.

Ground transportations are included airport bus, taxi, and airport express which is a rail link to Beijing city centre and is operated as part of the Beijing Subway system.

From September 2019, all Oneworld & SkyTeam flights from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) were transferred to the Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX), except Hong Kong Cathay Pacific and Dragon Air.
