China's unilateral visa-free policy has been extended until December 31, 2026.

On Nov 3 2025, to continuously facilitate personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries, China has extended its unilateral 30-day visa-free entry policy for short-term business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, and transit to 46 countries, with the policy now valid until December 31, 2026. Holders of ordinary passports from the above-mentioned countries may enter China without a visa for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchanges and visits, or transit purposes, with a stay duration not exceeding 30 days. Individuals who do not meet the visa-free requirements must still complete the visa application process before entering China

Europe (33): Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden (new), Switzerland,

Asia & Middle East (6): Bahrain, Japan, Kuwait, Oman, Republic of Korea. Saudi Arabia

Oceania (2): Australia, New Zealand

Americas (5): Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay

Special Cases: Russia & Brunei under a separate arrangement, with 30-day visa-free entry valid from September 15, 2025 to September 14, 2026.

In addition, the Chinese side will implement a visa-free policy for Sweden from November 10, 2025 to December 31, 2026.
