Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (IATA: CKG, Chinese Name: 重庆江北国际机场) is located 24km northeast of Chongqing city centre. It was opened Jan 22 1990. The airport has been expanded three times, 2001-2005, 2008-2010 and 2012-2017. Terminal 2 was opened in 2005 and terminal 3A was opened in Aug 2017. Meantime, Terminal 1 was closed in 2017.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport covers 730,800 square meters, and has three runways, including 3200 metres, 3600 metres and 3800 metres. Now there are two terminals at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport: terminal 3 and terminal 2. Terminal 2 is located 2.5km west of Terminal 3. As the 9th busiest airport in China, it handled 44,780,000 passengers in 2019.
