Flight arrival

On flight arrival passengers leaving the plane through the boarding bridge will follow the concourse to the arrival hall on floor 1 and then on to baggage-reclaim hall. For passengers taking ferry bus to the arrival hall of the deport terminal, they can go directly to baggage-reclaim hall after leaving the ferry bus.

Baggage reclaiming

Baggage reclaim unit is on Floor 1, with a display at the entrance, showing information on baggage=reclaim units. According to their flight number, passengers can find the corresponding baggage-reclaim unit.

The baggage-reclaim areas of the new airport are much greater in size than that of the old airport, for instance, in the west arrival hall it is four times as big as the baggage-reclaim area of the old airport. The wave-shape baggage desk there is about 100 meters long from the south to the north, with 8 baggage belts marked in even numbers from 2 to 16. Marked with numbers 7,9 and 11 there are another 3 baggage belts in the domestic arrival hall on the east side. Above each of the belts there are electronic displays hanging on the walls, showing tlight numbers and air route information to help passengers find their own baggage. At the exit gate there are special airport staffs to check that the barcode on the baggage match with the barcode on the flight ticket, and to prevent false claims or claim mistakes. Meanwhile passengers without delivered baggage could directly exit the arrival hall.

Tips

Passengers with a lot of baggage could choose either to use coin-trolleys or to order trolley-services. To prevent false claims or claim mistakes there are airport staffs at the exits checking baggage tags. The cooperation of passengers will be appreciated.

Leaving the airport

With baggage claimed passengers will be in the arrival hall to meet with their awaiting friends, or inquire about hotel information by the reception/information counters of hotels. Afterwards passengers could leave the airport by taking airbus or taxi.

Tips

For passengers' interests it is recommended not to accept services from persons without formal airport-working credentials, and not to take private cars working on their own without operational qualifications issued by the administrations.

International Arrival

Passengers arriving in Guangzhou by international flights will be at the arrival hall after passing immigration and customs. Before going downtown and just nearby the arrival hall passengers could find banking services for money exchange, feature restaurants for a wonderful meal at the airport, and some other recreation sites, for instance, a book-bar, to get themselves relaxed after a long trip of flight.

Health Declaration
Passengers arriving in Guangzhou by international flights should abide by relevant Chinese lnspection and Quarantine laws and regulations, before going onto immigration inspection.

Passengers should fill in the Quarantine Declaration Form on Entry accurately, and those coming from areas infected by Yellow Fever must present a valid vaccination certificate to the inspection and quarantine authorities.

Immigration
Foreign citizens must possess valid passports and visas for entering China. Chinese citizens should possess valid passports. On arrival, passengers should present their valid passports, visas or other valid certificates along with the filled-in entry cards to the immigration check post for inspection.

Tips
At the arrival hall there is a visa desk for foreign citizens where those who meet related criterions can get visas for entering P.R. China on arrival.

Baggage reclaim
The baggage reclaim hall is on Floor 1 and passengers could find their baggage reclaim unit by checking the flight number showing on the display of baggage reclaim unit.

Tips
Passengers with a lot of baggage items could choose either to use coin-trolleys or to order trolley-services. To prevent claim mistakes please check the luggage tag carefully and consult by the baggage inquiry counter if there are any questions.

Customs Inspection and Quarantine
Passengers with items to declare should take the Red channel for customs procedures and those without items to declare should take the Green Channel.

Leaving
With baggage claimed passengers will be in the arrival hall to meeet with their awaiting friends, to inquire about hotel information by the reception/information counters of hotels, or to exchange money at the banking services. Outside the arrival hall passengers could find airbus or taxi to leave the airport.
